for everyone
The trips we made with the larger Gemini were truly memorable. Not only we wine and dine, we had so much fun with merry making.
Organisation was superb. Every events were shipshaped.
The crew made us felt at home. We felt like being part of the family. In fact we the passengers, were part of their family.

You could see that the impressions I had by the many pictures that I made of them. Unfortunately, almost all pictures were taken in the night. Very poor lightings and in pressing conditions. Due to international copyright laws, pictures of the entertainers were not allowed.

But the experiences and memories were simply overwhelming. We had to be contended with traces through all the blurry pictures.

The pictures will give you an idea of what we had and the people we had together.

The ship would leave Port Klang in the afternoon. By the next morning we would be in Penang.
Here there would be a choice to visit the famous Ayer Itam temple for a tour charge.
Or, the bus chartered by Star Cruise would ferry you from Weld Quay to the Prangin Mall. A nominal fee was also charged. But these days, most people who needs to do any shopping would rather opt for the Gurney Plaza.

We with our gang did take a round-trip. Walking from the habour to Pitt Street and Love Lane. Then down in Leith Street to visit the Choong Fatt See mansion. Tour of the mansion is available at 11.00 am. We missed that. The person in charge at the gate, turned out to be Boon Chee's long lost school mate.

In Langkawai, the Bus chartered would make that 22 kilometers journey from Porto-Mala jetty to Kuah town.
As usual, we chose the light & easy. We walked. Of course not that 20 odd kilometers. But just to Chanai Beach. That too was good 5 kilometers. But on the way back to the jetty, taxi charges was only Rgt 5.00.

Not only on board, but at the specific destinations, passengers were given ample time.
Time to reboard the ship is usually 6.00 pm.

For those who prefer to stay on board, life is a breeze with fewer passengers. Meals are served in the usual manner. You could even opt to plan your meals and going on shore. Nevertheless, for those who had missed the lunch, tea was served at the usual 3.30 pm.

You would never go hungry, anytime

Kudos to you for documenting the trip(s) so well. It was great fun and we had fond memories!! Sometimes, I wish there was another tsunami ( so that we can get to go on such cruises for a song) - anyway, it was too much a price to pay for those who were affected !
