 | Nice to see you here - at last! Com 'On in. | Jan 6, 2006 |
This Multiply site was started in the Year 2006. My retirement co-incided with the time when lots of internet users were jumping onto the bandwagon of preparing web pages. I am one of them and having a handful of sites too. Looking back that was a good 12 years ago. Times since then changed. Today, it is the era of "hit & miss" Blogs. Old habits of resisting changes, I have yet to blog seriously. But I am putting up more written materials in the photographic page, partially treating it as my blog. Well! I feel the pictures tell a good story and the whole series of pictures remind me of the mood then. One good example - 2008, this site is filled with pages after pages "Birding In Malaysia". The pictures? The same species without variations. Ah ha! Don't you see, on each trip, almost any destination that I am at - I keep meeting up with those same residents. So - the page tells about the well being of the place and me, my mood then. In addition, I have also contributed to the Gang Of Four site. That site is the masterpiece of Stephen. Back to this site of mine, you will be kept undated one way or another in actvities where I am involved. So far, 2008! - I am happy I completed a fair agenda for the year. So keep logging in. More important, the purpose of this blog is to satisfy my personal needs. You see, on August 1998, I entered the arena of web pages writing. That many years ago. Today, trend had changed many times. The suppliers of free web spaces kept shifting their priorities. Lately, Blog sets in. Personal webpages taken on a new style. In line with this new paradigm, the free space and facilities for unpaid site become more and more restrictive. Oh working within the new confines, the chores of updating pages and continuance of maintaining is no longer pleasureable. "Multiply" in a way, have much of these limitations too. But, I must say that I made this fresh start, fully aware and adapted for these limitations. As for the myriads of my other sites, I am having? Leave them there, I will gradually transfer and manipulate the precious information at my fancy. Afterall, it would not easy as they all need updating. Since this is my site. I can talk at will. A word of wisdom to those of you, who still do not have firm believe in having your own websites. If you are still contemplating on filling up the space you booked. Here is one way how I look at the whole excercise. Our life can be divided in 3 significant stages. First 30 years - learning and the next & second 30 years, striving to build. Now after 60 years. I am in the third and last 30 years. This is the time to consolidate. No! Not my wealth of money. My wealth of informations and achievements. As usual, good planning! Not too late, at 60 years, I am making an early start. I can still write. Run around for informations to fill my pre & post production needs. That's it. I am all set in documenting my experiences. After all the old saying goes "The job is not done until the paper work is finished" How apt! | Pictures - The diversed interests of KTK | May 13, 2011 |

Birding is a hobby for the elite! That's what many lonely people looking for new interests would tell me, when I suggested Birding. | Guestbook | |
 | Welcome to the world of beautiful creatures. It's a lonely yet rewarding hobby. Thanks for visiting my sites and the compliments. I don't do super-duper stuff but sharing all that I see. |
 | Hi, I stumbled upon your blog while googling for old pump house road Genting. I also found a site with lots of bird photos which I think should be creditied to you although the real identity of the contributor is a little unclear other than "Khong" and "wondersf" which seem to always be linked. I just want to say I really appreciate your effort and time to post your many photos plus descriptive texts of our wonderful Malaysian birds. I am merely a beginner birder but through your posts, I have quickly gained knowledge which otherwise would have taken me many arduous hours in the field to acquire. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work. |
